1999 Shelby Series 1 Supercharged – SOLD!

1999 Shelby Series 1 Supercharged—Here is an extremely rare Supercharged Shelby Series 1 with the big brake package. Of the 249 produced there were approximately 40 supercharged cars. This example has only 494 original miles since new. That’s basically less than 2 weeks of use on the average car. What makes this car unique over all the other Shelby Series 1s is that it was number 75 to commemorate Carroll Shelby’s birthday. It was never sold through a dealership but sold at a charity auction where it was purchased by Robert Petersen of Petersen Publishing, the founder of Hot Rod and Motortrend Magazine. He was a long time person friend of Carroll Shelby. The car was put in the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. This museum is also the same location for Carroll Shelby’s memorial service. This car is a testament a man and his dream, his love and passion. It is the only car that Shelby designed and built from scratch. It is a modern day version on the legendary A/C Cobra of the 60’s. It is a race car for street use, all aluminum frame and chassis carbon fiber body, 50/50 weight distribution. For more information on the car please contact Don at Vantage Sportscars.
