Here is a beautiful triple black Shelby GT500 KR convertible. It has received a ground up restoration nearly 15 years ago. The car looks as though it was finished just 6 months ago. The photos in the ad were taken the month of February 2013. The car has never been driven in the rain since its completion. It has always been stored in a climate controlled garage. The restoration was done on a solid number matching car. The car was born gold but during restoration was striped to bare metal and finished in an optional color of black. A/C was also installed just like the factory. The Shelby VIN tag and door data tag are original. The Goodyear tires are new and the car can be driven anywhere. Here is a great opportunity to purchase a piece of Shelby history, a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR, King of the Road. This car is documented in the Shelby registry and with a deluxe Marti Report. Show it or drive it, either way you will be glad you own it. For more information concerning this beautiful classic call Don at Vantage Sportscars, office 407-298-5010, cell 407-497-2122.

1966 Shelby GT350 Tribute (007)
w/ Rare Paxton Supercharger
Here is a beautifully restored Shelby GT350 Tribute car. Restoration started with a solid California Mustang Fastback. Lots of attention was given to detail to make this car look like the real deal. Take a good look at the photos and you’ll see why. The car was painted back to its original color of candy apple red, adding some white Lemans stripes. The drivetrain consists of a 298 V8 with a rare Paxton supercharger, 4 SPD transmission, and a 9 inch read end. The car also has front wheel disc brakes. The previous owner claims he had invested $85,000 in this project. He gave me a 1 inch binder full of receipts. When you view the photos you’ll see the detail like the wood steering, the 9K Shelby tach, the glove box door signed by Carroll Shelby. Even the spare is a 10 spoke Shelby wheel to match to 4 on the car. A other interesting thing on the car to note is the last 3 digits of the VIN is 007. The price is very fair and a lot less than what has been invested. Restoration work was done 2007-2009. The car looks great and draws attention where ever you go.

Here is a rare and unique Shelby GT500. It has only 7k original miles. The car was sold new right here in central Florida. Upon delivery the first owner installed the 427 tunnelport engine. For the most part the car is as it was in 1970. It is mostly original paint, the rear wheel lips were opened up a little so it could run on drag tires. The 2 rear quarters has been spotted in as well as the hood being painted. All this work and modifications were done back in 1970. This car was on the front cover of Super Ford in 1987 August issue. The article inside is titled “Born to be Wild” by Dr. John Craft. The car is not only listed in the Shelby Registry, it was pictured on the front of the Shelby Registry book jacket. The Vintage Mustang Airplane in the background of the photo belongs to Johning Bolton, who owned Johning Bolton Ford, where the car was originally sold. We purchased the car from Mark Fischer who has owned the car twice. He first owned the car back in 1973 when he purchased it from the original owner who had the modifications done. He had the car until 1984 then the car ended up in Matt Johnson’s hand, the owner of Super Ford Performance. He had the car for approximately 18 years. If you were around Shelby’s in the 70’s and 80’s and lived in Florida you’ll know that this Shelby was an icon. Carroll Shelby even presented the 1st place trophy in 1975 at the Summer National in Wichita, Kansas. He told Mark that he was using the car as he intended them to be used. Here is a rare supercharged Shelby Series 1 with a ¼ mile time of 11.35 seconds @124 MPH and a 0-60 time of only 3.2 seconds which makes it one of the fastest production car of its day. It is one of the most significant cars Carroll Shelby had ever produced. It is a modern day version of the legendary 427 AC Cobra of the 60’s. With its all-aluminum high strength chassis, a carbon fiber body, a 50/50 weigh ratio, and a total weight of only 2,700 pounds, it was designed by Carrol Shelby as a race car for street use. It also has A/C, power windows, and an AM/FM CD stereo which are some modern day comfort features that most of us can’t live without. You can drive the Shelby Series 1 or you can unleash it by simply stepping on the accelerator pedal and live the dream of a legend (Carrol Shelby). The 427 AC Cobra of the 60’s once sold for $6,000.00 and now can fetch over $1,000,000.00. The Shelby Series 1 was built by the same legendary Carroll Shelby. It is in every way better and faster. With less than 300 cars built and only about 80 of them were supercharged, who really knows what its investment potential will be, only time will tell. But I’m pretty sure they will follow in the paths of all the other beloved limited production supercars. Meanwhile, the Series 1 will be a lot of fun while you wait. Each car has a Shelby serial number just like back in the ‘60’s. All Series 1 are in the CSX 5000 series. This is car # CSX5276. For more information on this remarkable car you can call Don at Vantage Sportscars 407-298-5010 or on his cell 407-497-2122.
