Here is a rare and unique Shelby GT500.  It has only 7k original miles.  The car was sold new right here in central Florida.  Upon delivery the first owner installed the 427 tunnelport engine.  For the most part the car is as it was in 1970. It is mostly original paint, the rear wheel lips were opened up a little so it could run on drag tires.   The 2 rear quarters has been spotted in as well as the hood being painted.  All this work and modifications were done back in 1970.  This car was on the front cover of Super Ford in 1987 August issue.  The article inside is titled “Born to be Wild” by Dr. John Craft.  The car is not only listed in the Shelby Registry, it was pictured on the front of the Shelby Registry book jacket.  The Vintage Mustang Airplane in the background of the photo belongs to Johning Bolton, who owned Johning Bolton Ford, where the car was originally sold.
